Growing up

Grant sure adores Russ. He is a good big brother and likes it when he "makes Russ happy."

I can't believe my baby is beginning to sit up. I was sitting behind him for a while this morning, just in case he fell. He was fine until I got up to get the camera, of course. Every time I got the camera out, he would lose his balance trying to reach for it. I did manage to get this picture, though.

I don't know if it was seeing him in shorts and short sleeves for the first time, or what, but Russ seems like he is growing up too fast.

Easter , Easter, and more Easter

First, before we get to the Easter part...

We had a wonderful General Conference weekend. Rob's parents came to visit, I made cinnamon rolls (yummy) and we listened to the words of our church leaders. It was great! Poor Russell developed an ear infection that weekend, though, so he did not have such a great time.

Rob's dad, a landscape architect, measured our property and is kindly designing our field of weeds into a beautiful yard. I am so grateful for his willingness to do that, and can't wait to start sprucing up our place.

Friday night we decorated Easter sugar cookies with Rob's old roommate and his family who stopped over for the night on their way to Seattle. It was fun to see them again, and the kids got along great.

Grant got a little carried away with the sprinkles.

The next morning, our ward had an Easter egg hunt at the local school. It was not really hunt, more like a 'gather and grab', but fun.

Later that day, the cousins came over and we had a REAL hunt in the backyard wilderness. Each kid had to find their assigned color eggs. Rob and Dirk did the hiding, and some of them were hard to find.

It was a large yard to find eggs in.

Later that night we colored Easter eggs.

Brenna had to prepare a poster for being "Star of the Week" in her kindergarten class. She felt very special.

Russ will be crawling soon, and I don't know what I will do!
