The inevitable has arrived

Considering both Rob's family history and my own it was only a matter of time before Seth needed glasses.
He told me he couldn't see some things from the back of the classroom, and sure enough, glasses were necessary.
Luckily he was very excited to get them. They just arrived today. I think he looks pretty cute.

My newest love :)

The day I have been waiting for for eleven years has arrived. I now own a grand piano. Hooray!
After years of saving and searching, it is now here!
While quite a bit larger size than I originally considered, I am pleased with my purchase. It is a Kawaii.
I realize that it takes up most of the living room, but oh well. I have put up several pictures at the request of my family.
We moved our upright downstairs so that the kids can practice simultaneously. Now they can sleep in a bit longer :)
(ignore messy counter)

I had to throw this photo in. Those boys sure love their dad. I sure love their dad, too. It is not every man who would be willing to let his wife take up the living room with a huge piano.

Catch up

Still no new computer, but I realized I could load pictures on Rob's laptop so I asked him to bring it home tonight.

So, without further delay, here is a condensed recap of our Christmas vacation.

Christmas Eve we had our bishop's family over for dinner. We had a great time with them. They love music as we do, and brought their cello, violin, and saxophone to add to the performances that night. It was great! We sang Christmas carols out of my new Reader's Digest Christmas Songbook (thanks Sarah and Jeremy- a perfect present!). Then the kids dressed up and acted out the Nativity story.

Of course the girls had to be angels or Mary.

Russell didn't quite catch on but had fun anyway.
Seth as a wise man and Grant as a shepherd.

or is he a terrorist? :)
I guess we DID take a picture Christmas morning. Here are Grant and Russell with their fun new wagon from Santa.
Chowing down on candy (lovely)
This picture is out of order, but was taken when Rob's parents were visiting last weekend. As you can see, this horsey got quite the workout.
For the New Year's weekend we headed to Idaho Falls to visit with Rob's parents and several siblings. While there we helped complete a 2000 piece puzzle. Rob and I had already done two 1000 piece puzzles at our house, and I was thinking I was done. But, puzzles are very addicting. We couldn't stop until we were done.
Sorry people- I didn't rotate tonight. Another fun activity at Grandma's house- playing the Wii.

This picture is back at home. Last week Rob came home with a red velvet cake an orthodontist had bought for him at a bakery. Russell had fun as you can see. What you probably can't see are all the lovely red tints in his hair as a result of his fun.
The other news around here (besides the fact that somehow I turned on this underline and can't get it off) is that Rob's sister Melanie moved in with us! She will be living with us for half the semester and Rob's other sister for the other half while she does her student teaching at a high school in Meridian. She is teaching Home Economics classes. We are happy to have her!

Boy or Girl?

We are having a girl!!!!!

We are very excited! Part of me is still worried that the ultrasound was wrong, but my doctor assures me she is 100% sure it is a girl, and if it is not she will come paint the room. That made me laugh.

So now we just have to pick a name :)
