Hey everyone!  I am finding that sometimes I take photos on my phone and sometimes on my camera these days so it is a little harder for me to stay organized with blogging.  So, this is a camera post.  I will follow up in a couple days with a phone post.  Okey-dokey?

These cute pictures were taken a month or so ago of Sydney when I first tried to put a pig-tail in her hair.  I admit I haven't done it since.  She is a wiggly thing and I haven't thought it worth pulling her hair.  I remember these pictures were difficult to snag because she kept going after the camera.
Can you see the almost invisible pony-tail?

Now her hair has come in quite a bit more and has a cute little half-curl right above her ears.  I need to take a picture of that.
Many have wondered how Rob went about painting the "Y" on the wall.  Here are some pictures that show the process.

Don't you think the blue is much better than the green?
This past weekend our entire family had the opportunity to go to Provo and hear my sister Heidi give her Senior Piano Recital at BYU.  What a treat!  I have been looking forward to it for a year.  Here I am pictured with my sisters Wendy and Heidi and our illustrious teacher Dr. Peery, with whom each of us studied while at BYU.  It was so fun to see her again.
Here I am with my sisters Wendy and Sarah.  What a treat that all my sisters could be there.
Heidi played beautifully!  Her program was extremely difficult and executed eloquently (and she looked gorgeous, too!)  She performed works by Bach, Debussy, Liebermann, and Rachmaninoff.
Heidi again with the infamous Dr. Peery.  I did not get a picture in the recital hall!  These are taken during the reception following.
Awwwwww!  Heidi and her handsome husband, Sam.
It was a great weekend.  I will follow up later with more photos.  (I didn't want the post to be too long!)

Our cute Sydney Jane

A couple weekends ago we traveled to Utah for a surprise birthday party for Rob's mom.  We had a fun weekend with nearly all of Rob's family there.  This first video was taken during the drive home.  Our Sydney is a darling girl, but often makes very unfeminine growling sounds.  She was going at it so I tried to capture it with my phone, but of course she quit.

The next video is of her enjoying her exersaucer.  Again, I apologize for the quality- it is another phone video.  As of yesterday she has finally cut her first tooth.
This is my second post in a couple days so if you missed the first one, read on.

What we have been up to

**Note**the pictures have been fixed.

Well as you might imagine we have been busy lately! I finally took some pictures so I can blog!

One of the pictures is of Seth and his classmates singing at the capital. The Charter School Commission was lobbying the legislature to remove the cap on the amount if charter schools allowed in the state each year.

I am posting this on my phone and I am not sure how it will work out.

There are some pictures of Rob creating a template for a big "Y" to paint on the wall in our boys' room. There are also pictures of the finished product. It is not perfect but we both agree it looks better than we thought it might.

There are some pictures of our newly organized laundry room. A hanging rod, some shelves and a table really make a big difference! My only regret? Not doing it three years ago!

I am in a decorate and reorganize the house mood. I think I figured out why. We have lived in this house longer than any other and so it is time to get organized. Usually by now we would be moving and thereby cleaning out closets and such.
So I hung a couple shelves and a picture in the living room. More to follow.
